"And Hell’s Comin’ With Me"
- the A10 Warthog

These three A10 Thunderbolt “Warthogs” have found an enemy tank & truck convoy in the deserts of Afghanistan and the more distant jet is starting it’s run and will soon be followed by the other two. These aircraft are from the Idaho Air National Guard 124th Wing, 190th Fighter Squadron stationed at Gowen Field, Boise, Idaho. This is one of a set of two paintings commissioned by the IANG & paid for with private contributions. The artist picked this image to represent our brave men & women fighting the war on terrorism overseas. The war to defend this country is a righteous one. But to the enemy, it will be as if he opened the gates of hell!

This particular aircraft, tail #691, was shot down over
Baghdad, Iraq in April 2003 during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

The original painting will hang at the Idaho Air National Guard at Gowen Field in Boise, Idaho. Watch the October 2002 issue of Flight Journal Magazine for this painting.
