"Something Wicked This Way Comes"
AH-64A Apache
Idaho Army National Guard, 1-183rd Attack Helicopter Battalion

The background for this painting is in the mountains east of Boise, Idaho - South Fork of the Boise River, where the Idaho Army National Guard helicopter pilots often train, the only "mountain training" battalion in the U.S. During our filming for this painting, someone commented "That's sure a wicked lookin' machine!" And so it stuck - a quote from Shakespeare's MacBeth, Act IV - "... by the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes ...". Members of the military in Afghanistan and Iraq feel more secure knowing that this "machine" is on their side.

(Thanks to Lt. Col. Garshak for his superb skills flying the Apache and the superb skills of the pilots and crew of our Blackhawk and for the great flight!!)
